merry xmas.

Tomorrow is Christmas Eve, the day that all Skandinavians celebrate more than Christmas Day. I hope everyone who reads this will have a super great lovely Christmas with lots of nice food and presents. I shall be back with more Stingosaurus adventures after the holidays. Until then, take care everyone!

baj baj.

Glasgow. And the entire United Kingdom. I'm saying bye bye for real now. There's not much left to say that I haven't already said. I shall miss you in some strange kind of way. Someday. You're definitely not my favourite island on this planet, but probably the most important. For me at least. Thanks for everything that was the opposite of shit. See ya sometime in the future!

my life weights too much.

I'm spending my last day in Glasgow and the UK tomorrow. Bags are packed and far too heavy. It's gonna cost me a fortune to get them flown to Sweden. Most of my possesions however will be donated tomorrow. It's such a relief to weigh considerably less. I don't need all this crap that I carry around. I don't even know if I need the crap I sent in million packages already. Probably not. Why do we all need so much stuff around us? When I write this I'm taking overdoses of vitamins and mouth-wash, while rubbing my skin with body lotion and spraying my hair with hairspray that I thought I needed once. I will throw away so many unopened packages. So stupid.

who's your actress?

Lately I've noticed that acresses flirts heavily with indie music. It's nice, because they're often rediculously spoiled with to-die-for side-kick musicians and the results are quite delicious. First Zooey Deschanel teamed up with M. Ward and formed She&Him. Then Scarlett Johansson and Pete Yorn got related. And now Charlotte Gainsbourg (seen from Science of Sleep) has recorded an album with Beck. I love this video and I loved even more that you can download her song "IRM" from her website for free!

regina and jenny what's-her-face.

I have finally, finally, finally seen Regina Spektor live. And yes, she was awesome. A little short in height and shy but so full of excellence. Yeah... I don't know what to say. It was worth waiting 5,5 years to see her, it sure was. I'm in love with all her songs now, not just my favourite ones - all of them. Such a great performer. The opening act for her was Jenny Owen Youngs, which was a happy surprise. I thought her first song "Led to the sea" was a cover at first, but then realised I had her in my iPod and it was like actually her... Pretty cool. She had humour and I liked that she's an x-file nerd like me. I think the funniest and perhaps most stupid thing about the concert was that my friend Lee had my camera taken away by the security when he took this picture of Jenny. Apparently my camera was too professional. Ha! That's funny. We didn't even got to take any photos of Regina, or like Lee put it "we only got like three shots of that Jenny what's-her-face". But it didn't matter. It kind of sucks sometimes when you view good things in life through a view-finder. This way I probably enjoyed the consert more. Thank you, security guards!
