The great white shark, Carcharodon carcharias, can be found in coastal surface waters in all major oceans. It can get bigger than 6 meters and weigh over 2000 kilos. The lifespan is 30 to over 100 years and it eats everything from fish, sea lions, dolphins and naive little tourists.
